Book Review: A House without Windows

.....  It was  Zeba's  voice.   "Alone and free of angst and sorrow I've bled enough for today and tomorrow Now it is time for my bud to bloom I'm a sparrow in love with solitude All my secrets contained within me I sing aloud –I'm alone, finally!"   I can vividly feel my English teacher's voice explaining about the story titled, "God sees the truth, but waits", in a lovely but sad tone only to make the storyline strong and get into our nerves. Her expression echoes in my heart even today.  It's deeper than the ocean.    Reading through the story of  Zeba , I feel the other side of the humans is more cruel. For any good reasons that dragged her in the prison is anyone's guess.   The pain of losing her husband is unbearable and dragging her into the prison cell is more painful and losing her family man is unthinkable.    A house without windows is an astonishing story not just to read and leave behind, we must emulate and spread across the

Why I Wear His Majesty's Badge– II

Three days old in the new campus. Yet again, I became a new teacher in the old system. I hoped everything would fall in place with time was the only hope I had burning deep inside. It gave me a nostalgic feeling of a boy I met in a similar fashion at my previous school. First few days elapsed with di

Why I Wear His Majesty's Badge?

Although it is completely a personal choice to wear a badge that one wishes. However, it is odd to see wide ranges of badges being worn by our youth today.  It's tempting me so much to share my personal opinion, so I am sharing this as a concerned citizen and not as an expert.  There is a vast array of badges with their own symbol and purpose in the market. Different people wear different badges for different reasons like promotion, identification, appreciation, honor, gratitude, respect, identity, etc.    The badge originated back in medieval times from the coat of arms carried by knights on their left side. For that reason, it is worn on the left chest, over the heart and is a reminder of the pledges or duty to protect law and order and loyalty.   Most people wear badges in formal events like office hours, meetings and concerts. It also shows one's personality and to style one’s outfit in the public space. However, wearing good badges of His Majesty The King gives extra coo
