.....
It was Zeba's voice.
"Alone and free of angst and sorrow
I've bled enough for today and tomorrow
Now it is time for my bud to bloom
I'm a sparrow in love with solitude
All my secrets contained within me
I sing aloud –I'm alone, finally!"
I can vividly feel my English teacher's voice explaining about the story titled, "God sees the truth, but waits", in a lovely but sad tone only to make the storyline strong and get into our nerves. Her expression echoes in my heart even today. It's deeper than the ocean.
Reading through the story of Zeba, I feel the other side of the humans is more cruel. For any good reasons that dragged her in the prison is anyone's guess.
The pain of losing her husband is unbearable and dragging her into the prison cell is more painful and losing her family man is unthinkable.
A house without windows is an astonishing story not just to read and leave behind, we must emulate and spread across the society. It is more than a lesson.
