Old Teacher to New Teacher, departing message to my old colleagues
As I joined my new school today, I'm compelled by my conscience to leave this group, a group I've remained close for so many years.
It is extremely hard for me to take this decision, in fact a very hard decision to leave this group. However, in life, we encounter such proceedings on and off in different forms and learning to adjust is the only way forward for a Homo sapiens survival chain. As I leave this group, I'll keep all the beautiful memories made together in rest of my life. I've left behind Zhemgang only to resuscitate my family choice and not for other reasons. For any other reasons, I wouldn't have left Kheng. But in life, we come to a point where we are compelled to choose and be with, thus I took this frost journey to be with my family.
I thank you all for being more than a wonderful colleague both professionally and personally. All I can remember is that we all have made history together that can last forever with Zhemgang Central School. For each moment of my life, I'd remain obliged to all our management teams, colleagues, staff and students for the love and support I got all my stay.
Zhemgang was beautiful only because of you all.
Lastly, please forgive me for my misdoing and rudeness if any of you've come across. It was never intentional, never to hurt anyone anyways lah.
As I close my lines, I want to quote Albert Einstein "a person who never made a mistake never tried anything new".
Thus, we are bound to make endless mistakes, which show all of us are working for the common goals only to benefit our innocent kids. Please, accept my sincere apology…sincerely!!!
This is my final words for ZCS group friends...Life must go on...

How bad is a Happy Nation?
Chocolate or food wrappers, papers, napkins, pet bottles, E-waste top the trash list that are in fact greatly impacting the world environment today. Everyone is equally responsible, no matter where one lives and what background one comes from. However, recent news on waste issues isn't welcoming –"same old wastes around tourist destinations even without a single foreign visitor". This headline is so blind. This is very unlikely.
Perhaps dumping waste in the right place is completely an "individual or personal choice" but very "secret service" to the nation. Whatever –the blame game is worsening our domestic problem and reputation all these years.
We're into an extremely critical time of who'd take care of our waste. For quite long, I've been doing a decent job of not littering at least whatever I produce both at home and workplace. As always I dump my waste mindfully –no matter what situation I come across or wherever I go or whatever I take. I always take trash as an individual "moral responsibility". I take a chance to share my concern on the environment and waste issues, and of course I take pride in educating my kids back home on proper waste management. I strongly believe home culture makes a difference in the life of everyone. At the same time, I keep educating our young school children to be responsible on waste or trash they produce – eat whatever comes your way, but be responsible on the waste you produce, size doesn't matter, after all waste is a waste and it causes harm to our environment and other animals that coexist with humans. Therefore, please put it in the right place. Before I begin my day's lesson I also make sure that the classroom is kept clean, dustbins are emptied and no single piece of waste is littered around.
However, during this pandemic a group of tour guides are fruitfully engaging in several cleaning campaigns all around and at the same time creating awareness to the general public. But the very next day the littering of trash around seems almost the same. Nevertheless, they deserve our sincere credit for their good work. Similarly, thromde, municipal and other relevant stakeholders are equally fighting hard in keeping every part of the country clean and litter free is something commendable, but most of their time and effort are going in vain. Therefore, to be more successful towards keeping a clean environment, or litter free, the good habit should begin at home; good parenting and a credible education system can go a long way in curbing this issue.
What can an individual do for this challenge is very simple yet very secret and special for the country. We need a "third eye" to see this perennial issue. Also making a reliable and affordable means of reducing waste at source can make our environment litter-free or clean to live in. Nevertheless "mentality" and "civic sense" can be a game changer. It is an inexpensive program.

The Great Fourth: Last I Saw in-person was in 2011
As serious as in his looks, he is serious in action. As handsome as in his appearance, he is serious in his personality.
As a boy I grew up closely watching at the beautiful kupar of our king Jigme Singye Wangchuck my parents had hung up just above the first door of my parental house. Before I knew anything about the world, my parents introduced me to our king. Before I knew where he lives and what he does, I knew him as our king, King (Raja) of Bhutan.
His leadership have often caught the worldly attention. I started loving our king from a very young age. There is nothing as beautiful as giving a long staring looks at the kupar of our king, the Great Fourth. Before I'd the idea of the world, I was already very close to our king.
The photo frame my parents have always occupies a special place in our home and in our heart. It is still in the same place and has equally impacted other siblings like me. We worship him for his leadership and great vision for the country. Since then I always admire him. Indeed, he is my "role model".
Back to my primary school, I used to know many things about the beloved Fourth King, in fact more than my little classmates. I could easily distinguish our king. We were introduced to our king in a very same manner of what my parents used to share with us, but more formally. By the time I was in junior school, I knew so many developments –where he lives? What does he do? His office. The changes he has brought under his dynamic leadership and how concerns he was especially for the younger generation.
However, going through these powerful statements made by His Majesty at his earlier age is something extraordinary.
I've jotted down a few random statements made by Jonathan Gregson in his book called "Kingdoms Beyond the Clouds", lively interviews with beloved Fourth Druk Gyalpo.
"He has always been reluctant to take on large foreign loans. Standing on our own feet and self-reliance are central to his philosophy".
"I don't believe monarchy is the best system of government. If there's a very good and competent king, then he can do much good; if not, then he can do a lot of harm. I try to impress upon them that you cannot depend just on one individual and that the future of bhutan can only be secure if it is in the hands of the Bhutanese people".
"The essence of democracy is very, very good. Political parties decisions are based not on what's best for the country but what's best for winning votes".
"He was pursuing a policy of economic self-reliance, privatizing enterprises set up with foreign aid so that they pay their own way and don’t become a drain on public finances".
"Hydroelectricity –just as the Middle East has oil". But his majesty has warned in 1980's about the shortage of water to run the turbine and potential destruction to mother nature. He always has great concern for forest coverage.
The future of the country lies in the hands of the young generation is never far from the truth.

Ananymous "LETTER"
| Classic calligraphy |
The art of letter writing is fast fading away globally. We hardly see people writing letters these days. This could be due to new and easy platforms that new technology provides the users to communicate which are not only fast but also safe and efficient. Nonetheless, people are overly becoming lazy and time conscious.
As the longest academic year comes to an end, I got this letter from one of my students expressing immense gratitude of thankfulness for helping shape their dreams.
It was so sweet to hear such good feelings when many turn down for hatred and prejudice. The small piece was beautifully crafted in thoughts and feelings. It was a short yet very powerful and touching.
It sounds like the feeling was so honest and genuine. The choice of every single word made was so impressive at such a young age. I can see your future already beautiful. You're already a leader. I can see you more than a "politician". I hope your dream comes true.
May you become someone your parents can trust? May you serve our country, king and people with highest integrity and loyalty?
Stay blessed as always!
